Hey all,

The software that came with my microphone surprisingly does not come with an export for MP3. Do you know of a program I can use to do that with?

I'm getting closer.

I use Cakewalk Pyro - it's not free, but not expensive - I think I paid about 40.00 for it. Works beautifully, and has some extra plugins for reverb, compression, loudness, etc.

Audacity can do it for free, but you have to download the lame encoder when you get Audacity. There are instructions on the Audacity website that will explain how to install it.

I also use Audacity. It's free and easy to use. (Well, easy to use after Kitty carefully explained everything in baby language for me  )

I tried Lame but couldn't seem to get it to work right. My home machine is hideous - I can't get midi in, but not out, stuff like that. Audacity is a cool program, and the price is definitely right.

Between the instructions provided here and the instructions provided on the Whistle This website on the "how to record" section, even I managed to make things work. 8)

The Whistle This spot has a link to LAME MP3 encoder for Audacity about halfway down the page under "Getting the Software".
