Can anyone help me with the whistle part played in The Lion of Judah, as on Revival in Belfast? We are playing it on Sunday and rather than just play the melody (really over doing that) I'd like to make the tune more exciting for everyone by playing something more interesting. It sounds so good when Robin Mark and company play it. I've tried listening to it with the Amazing Slow Downer but just can't find the right notes. If you can help, thank you.
While I think of it, the whistle playing in Days of Elijah is fabulous, has anyone worked that out too?

In what key are you guys playing it? And which whistle part are you referring to... the short interludes in between verses, or the music break they take in the middle?

I actually did work out the notes on Days of Elijah once but I couldn't play them.

I think we'll be in A maj for the Lion. I would like ALL the bits if that's possible. Do you still have your notation for Days of Elijah? Even to play the beginners version would be good and having too much is OK, having nothing is the problem.

I think that break they take in the middle of Lion of Judah is probably some Irish traditional tune, but I don't know what it is.
