Ahhhh .... nothing quite like the wail of a sax on "Auld Lang Syne". :thumbsup:

I played "The Parting Glass" and then "Auld Lang Syne" on the folk flute -- but couldn't come close to your sax, Jim. Thanks for sharing this!

The sax version is nice but the low whistle is really BEAUTIFUL!!! Susan came running to listen to it and said it sounded like a traditional Scottish piper. =D>

Wow - that's kind of what I was hearing as I was playing it. I like the funeral scene in Braveheart where the uncle tells young Wallace the pipers are playing 'outlaw tunes' ... that's a very moving part of the film, kinda what I was hearing. The sax is more celebratory to my ear, not really the intended nature of the tune. It's a lament, I believe.
