things seem to have slowed down on the songs. I sure enjoy listening to them ... please .. if you haven't put one up yet ... do. Make and "OLD Man" happy!

[*ahem*] Uh...... yes, they do. Image

I had hoped to try this new song out on my fiddle - I'm a beginner on that - but I just haven't had time and I'm leaving town in the morning for vacation.

Yeah .. that is hitting her where it hurts LOL!!! I can hear lots of Irish on the other sites but this is first time I have been able to hear a lot of different versions of hymns and praise songs and it is great!

I was beginning to wonder if I had scared off other potential contributors with that 18-track "monster".

Actually, that track isn't nearly as complicated as it appears. First of all, I record everything twice in mono format, then pan each track to opposite sides of the mix. This is kind of a "poor man's stereo chorus effect", since I don't own a stereo microphone. Secondly, I recorded the guitar and whistle on each key change as separate tracks so you wouldn't hear me changing whistles or moving the capo on the guitar. 2 tracks x 2 instruments x 4 keys = 16 tracks dedicated to the guitar and whistle alone.

So come out and play. There really is no monster.

P.S. - All those tracks being loaded at the same time were threatening to lock up my sound editor, so I won't stack things up as much the next time.

Okay!!! I almost have it. I have been trying to play it on my Gen G just for Judy but those holes sure are close together.

Be warned, Ron .... I have a Gen G of my own --- or a hi D fife! The Gen's higher, but the playing is much, much worse on the fife. :joker:

I got my new computer yesterday, will set it up tonight, but then I'm going away for the weekend, so it'll be next week before I can join you all in contributing (such as it will be).
