This is a quiet spot about a mile from our house where we like to go and play music.

Really nice, Adrian!

.... but I'd be worrying about snakes in all those rocks. :? In my area that would be a haven for 3 types of venomous snakes.

Judy

We have poisonous snakes here as well and there seem to be a lot of them this year. I like snakes and they don't frighten me. The vipers are the aggressive ones and tend to attack rather than slide away. Adrian has been known to murder them and eat them but I am a vegetarian. I really dislike the spiders and scorpions here.

Bravissimo again!

Reminds me of a spot I used to visit every year in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

Yeah, reminds me of the Smokies and the Ozarks.

It is the kind of place I enjoy. However, I would be carrying a fishing rod. BTW here in the DC area we have a lot of snakes too.

We don't see a lot of snakes here in Colorado -- but in areas where there is water we see a LOT of water snakes, and they're all non-poisonous in this part of the country (actually there is only one water snake that IS poisonous on this entire continent; many sea snakes are venomous though).

I have been VERY busy with restoring my computer, keeping up with clients, and clearing out the basement for a little renovation. But here's a photo my kids shot of their most recent obsession.

OK - those two pictures are just BEGGING for somebody to Photoshop them together. The bouncing girl, to the music of Susan on the slope. If I was a photoshop wizard, I'd do it. But I'm more like the photoshop village idiot.
