Yummy! Fresh home-grown tomatoes! That picture is more tempting than a plate of brownies.

(For a first course -- brownies for dessert ... 8) )

Another way to eat tomatoes like these is with slices of fresh mozzarella cheese. It's superb.

I love them but hold the salt on mine. I like a sandwich with a slice of tomatoe, a slice of Vidalia onion, a few sprigs of fresh basil, and some fat free mayo(no Butter). They look great Mack. Mine have a week or tow before they will ripen.

Lovely tomatoes Mack! I love tomatoe sandwiches made from those old fashion beef steak tomatoes. Yum, gettin hungry now. :P

My SIL has been bringing me strawberries from her garden for 2 weeks! Yummm! Spinach and lots of lettuce too! I give her eggs. She always has a huge garden and will plant stuff that they don't eat, but their neighbors like so she can give them stuff. I wish I had her energy!

Hate to be the party buster but... yuck! (I don't like tomatoes. I know, it's odd. I eat peanut butter with my ham, but I don't like tomatoes.)

*sigh* Tomatoes on the vine. Still green. Must be patient... :D 'Mater is in a pot, and I lovingly move him into optimal sunshine several times a day, as well as speaking encouraging words to him.

Why yes, I do work at home. Alone. Why do you ask?

Cal,

You'll have to play Mater some music. I have heard that helps. :D

Just an update - Mater's firstborns (twins, but not identical) have arrived. I'd do the usual birth announcement, weight, etc., but frankly they didn't hang around long enough for all of that.

Bob and Bob II had a lunch date with a certain Mr. Bacon at the Texas Toast Cafe, where a delicious time was had by all...

well, by me at least. :D

Thanks, Lord Of The Harvest, for the bounty of Your earth. For pretty red tomatoes, and all good gifts.
