This morning was the big yard sale (well, sort of). My daughter held this yard sale (with some help) to raise money for missionaries. It was fun!

The big attraction was the lemonade stand.

Some of this stuff didn't sell. See anything you like?

Josh came over to help drum up a crowd. Er...whistle up a crowd.

The entrepreneur herself:

Where's the crowd, you ask? Well, it was hot and business was slow but she earned a respectable stash.

Great pix, Connie! It looks almost like Josh is recording, except the mic isn't plugged in!

Again, kudos to your daughter! I pictured an older girl- how old is she?- but I even more admire that typa work and forthrightness in a kid (wish I did that kind of thing enough ). Praise God :)

I remember occasions where a few of us kids tried selling Koolaid from a stand (table and chairs in our front yard) in a rather quiet neighborhood in the Denver area. I don't know that we ever made one cent, actually. One or two of our friends might have felt obligated to buy or we paid ourselves a few pennies to buy a glass. After about a half-hour, tops, we ended up drinking the pitcher of Koolaid ourselves.

Oh, I almost forgot. Blackhawk and me, we was wondering if the whistle is for sale. We wants it.

If Blackhawk buys it then there is a fair chance that it will be in my rack one day! :D

Uh...that whistle is a recent acquisition of his. It's been my observation that Josh and that whistle are pretty much joined at the hip.

She's seven, with about a 14-year-old attitude (except that she still thinks Mom's the greatest. ;) )

Spoon, I'd guess you probably do a lot of great stuff.

Sounds like the best of both worlds :D Outta curiosity, any specific missionary she was helping, or just a general fund sort of thing?
