Been playing some.

First, there's the new avatar, to the left. One of the students took that one with the zoom in.

Then, there are these pebbles:

And this bird feeder:

Adrian, I left this one unprocessed. What would you do to process it?

Cornfield from ground level:

It was windy today. My fingers nearly froze. Swings swung on their own.

A plaque my husband gave me hangs on the wall behind my desk.

These are just playing. I'll work on real pictures over time.

Wonderful! Keep them coming please.

To answer your question - nothing. It's a nice snap and some pictures are just meant to be nice snaps not works of art. I would have tweaked the pebbles and the plaque though but only very very slightly.

MORE praise photos PLEASE!!!

The camera works well Connie. It looks just like my daughters neighborhood.

I love the pebble picture. Personally I would have removed the leaf and twigs before taking the picture. As for a tweak, it is a little flat as it is slightly underexposed IMHO. A two-second tweak in levels would correct that and give you:

I'm no expert so it's all just a matter of personal taste.

With the other picture I would again have corrected the levels, straightened the plaque and cropped a little more tightly.

How would you tweak them?

Yeah, I did the crop on the plaque, and went back to a looser crop to give context. Looking at it again I probably would crop it to make it artsier.

With the pebbles, yours looks much better on a CRT screen (desktop). I still prefer mine on LCD (laptop), IMO.

I'm glad it gets to be an opinion thing. That's my favorite thing about learning stuff outside of a classroom setting.

More later.
