Jim, that's gorgeous. Remember a year ago when you thought Texas was just too dreary to photograph? God turned on the lights for you, there, and you captured Texas in all its big, brown beauty. =D> =D> =D>

 Great photograph.

Ah Piper .... these are little hills ... only a couple of hundred feet or so difference from the bottom to the top ... and Texas hills don't stink .... we have contented cows!

thanks for the comments .... When God turns the light on ... it is amazing .... I can't get enough of it.

Connie we been gray and dull for so long .... that I almost missed this one ... didn't go out until it had already started.

Really a great foto, Jim. I do like the stark contrasts in colors.

Thanks again for the comments .... God paints the picture .... I just try and capture it.

Ron .... Spring is coming .. really is ... hopefully!

Larry ... that is just how it was .. I didn't do anything to the colors.

I did clean up the picture today ... it had some junk in it that needed to be taken out. Power lines and bright spots ... learned how to do that finally.

We have CS2 which is a Photoshop product. If she didn't teach it .. we couldn't afford it but there should be software with the camera you are using that will do some or most of it. Adrian got me to practice a lot on pictures and it is finally starting to come together. My wife.... the teacher ... told me "you want to learn how to do it .... read the book"! She knows that reading instructions ...... is probably my least favorite thing to do!!! She can be sadistic at times!!!

Thanks Darvis .... right place at the right time.

I can't do THAT! I was hoping Jim or somebody would explain it so I wouldn't have to read the instructions. ](*,)

Vell now .. you create another layer (duplicate picture .. see Adrian ... I got that) so if you mess up you can delete it and start over .. zen .. using the duplicate picture .... You take zee clone and clone out what you don't want or zee patch .. or zee healing brush...zen you read the instructions if it doesn't work because I could be telling you wrong!!

It is really easy .. sort of .. some of the time .. well on this one it was in one place but harder in another and I gave up on one area but that is just me. Oh ... and you go to "view" and zoom in so you can see what you want to remove blown up big. Got that??? :-k  :D

We all have our little 'jobs' in life. Y'all just keep reading the instructions and taking gorgeous pictures .... and I'll just keep saving them for my desktop and "oohing" in appreciation.

Nice one, Jim!

I love photos that make you want to step on through the picture, walk around and enjoy the surroundings.

Great photo, Jim.

Thank you for the comments but I am surprised that no one has seen what I see in the picture ... it is a large image ... an action image. Must not have many who find/found pictures in the clouds. :D

Only girls are really good at multi tasking. Guys can normally only think about one thing at a time.

Looks like a cracking camera. I love the fact that it uses AA batts so that when you are travelling you do not have to keep thinking about where you will charge your camera next. Also it great to have a lens as wide as 26mm on a super-zoom to give you great landscapes. Let us know what you think when you get it and have played with it for a while. Shame it does not have a flip-out screen.
