I'm looking for a real simple setup I can use for recording... mostly vocals and keyboard, some flute etc. The main reason is my mom- she has the most amazing voice, and as she gets older and her voice gets weaker (she's already past her peak) she'd really like to record some stuff. Nothing too fancy (we're not really prepared to spend hundreds of dollars on a nice setup), but still something that'll preserve her voice well. Would just a decent mike be all I need? If so... well, what would be good therewise? Thanks :)

you planning on recording to computer? If so you will need a recording program and a microphone. Tracktion is decent but I also had good results recording voice and whistle with Acoustica Mixcraft which is like a 40 dollar program.
