Tommy, I bought my dream flute from Unicorn music, at http://www.buyrecorders.com/. Good prices, and quick response to my questions. My recorder shipped Friday, I hope to get it Monday. [-o<

Dana

Thank you Dana, looking forward to hearing you tell us about it Monday.

I guess if you receive it today, we will not hear from you till Tuesday?

Adrian,

Do you know anything about Purcell (wooden) recorders, made in Germany?

Ha Ha! Gotta post something just to prove you wrong.
Yes, the soprano dream flute arrived today, and I just unpacked it. What a great sound! It sounds like a cross between a whistle and a recorder, although not breathy at all. Very solid tone, with more bass in the sound than a whistle. Of course, now I have to deal with the screwy fingerings. Coming from a flute background, the whistle is more familiar. For this recorder it will be worth it however. I've owned other (cheap) recorders that never interested me enough to learn the fingering.
