I mentioned the other day that I had found a Gen Bb that was really good and I snapped it up. I have two other Gen Bbs one brass and one nickel. I have never really liked either of them although they are not really that bad. I thought maybe I just couldn't finger it properly. This one though was great from the first time I picked it up. I have been thinking about what made the difference. I am beginning to think that if a whistle happens to match my breath control capability/style I think it is good. If it doesn't it is not good. Any thoughts out there about what makes the difference? When you have found a whistle that was really good what made the difference?
