I just purchased three whistles from tommy. Wow! They are quite nice. I asked tommy if he could make me a whistle in olive wood in the key of B. not only is it beautiful but it has the sweetest of tones. I'll try to post something soon.

In addition he also made be a Bb and A that share a common delrin head. They have an aluminum body he painted flat black. They look quite nice and play exceptionally well.

Tommy's whistle are a great value IMHO. Two thumbs up! Thank you tommy!

I'd like to add more Big Thumbs Up for Tommy. I asked my wife for a low D whistle for my birthday in November from Tommy. He and I had set it up so all she had to do was send him the check. I asked him for the whistle he would play for a friend or loved one in the hospital - he sent me a one piece black PVC whistle that sounds remarkably like a flute. I love it! And so do the patients I play it for as a hospital chaplain. Amazing Grace gives me chill bumps - and the first time I played O' Holy Night it brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you Tommy for sharing your talents with us!

Hi, Opa. Welcome to PWA!

Congratulations, Randy. I'll bet a Tommy whistle in olive wood would look, feel, sound and even smell wonderful.

Welcome to PWA, opa. Have to agree that Tommy's whistles are great.

... and Connie, I can say that a Tommy Dion olive wood whistle (mine is in C) is a wonderful, gorgeous whistle.

Welcome as well Opa. I think you all are trying to get me in whistle buying mode once more.

sorry ron - you may just need to break down and try one. i've had mine now for several months. i've found all three of them to be quite expressive. the wood B is the purest sounding. but i find myself drawn to all three whistles. in fact, i tend to reach for them when trying out a new tune. quite nice.
