How blessed we are to live in the part of the world where whistles are an option. I have added two long sought after whistles to the fold. A Chieftian nontunable in A and an alloy silkstone in hi D.

Years ago I had a very expressive Chieftian which for some strange reason I traded away. Wasn't one I my better decisions. You have to give it some air but it pays off in richness. It is just a joy to play. And A is one of my favorite keys. I now have three really good whistles in this key. The Chieftian, dion, and a beloved Hoover. Each different and each nice.

The silkstone is truly a gem. The air mangemant on it is superb meaning one breath allows you to play forever. And the tone is pure and sweet. Not shrill at all. I've wanted one ever since they first came out and as they are no longer being made I feel fortunate to have one.

I am double blessed.

I have an Alba in A. It is a dream to play. I often sit here an trade off between the Alba and a Burke Bb aluminum. I have found that I really like the Burke aluminum whistles. I saw that Joanie Madden played Burke Aluminum whistles. I asked her why Aluminum. She said,"I just prefer them."

I can't imagine EVER giving away, selling or trading my Silkstone D alloy. It's one of the most expressive whistles out there. :) Glad you got two gems.
