Over in the St. Pat's day thread I mentioned I listened to several Celtic/Irish Music podcasts. And was asked to list them.

Some of these are web searchable some of them only thru iTunes. HOWEVER all are free to get even the ones thru iTunes.

So in no particular order are all the irish/celtic/renn fair podcasts that I currently suscribe to

Irish and Celtic Music Podcast - http://www.celticmusicpodcast.com/
Irish Guitar Podcast - http://www.irishguitarpod.com/
Live Ireland - http://www.learnoutloud.com/Podcast-Dir ... dcast/6921 or http://liveireland.com/
Your Weekly Irish Stout - http://www.irishsong.net/podcast.shtml
Renaissance Festival Podcast - http://www.renaissancefestivalmusic.com/
Pacific Northwest Celtic Music Podcast - http://pnwcmpodcast.mypodcast.com/
NPR:Thistlepod with Fiona Richie - http://www.thistleradio.com/index.php?o ... &Itemid=72
Marc Gun's PubSongs podcast - http://www.marcgunn.com/pubsongs/
Celtic Oklahoma - http://www.podbean.com/podcast-detail/5 ... oma/recent
Celtic Folk Podcast - http://www.celticfolkpod.com/
BilgeMunkey Radio (pirate songs) - http://www.bilgemunky.com/radio/about_bmr.php
Ayepod.net(Scottish traditional music podcast) - http://www.ayepod.net/
Comhaltas Live - http://comhaltas.ie/music/archive/C62/

Some others I listen too

Afropop WorldWide
Accoustic Long Island
Copperplate Podcast
The Roadhouse(as they say the best blues you've never heard of)
World Music Spotlite(this is a video podcast)

And oddly enough I have looked for a good Christian music podcast and have not yet found one. So if anyone knows one let me know :)

since my iphone sits right here and I am currently listening to it was pretty easy to pull the list :)
I pull all those thru the iTunes software and then just sync em down to my phone for listening. Normally I get thru them faster than the week so by the end of the week I am tapping my foot waiting for the next batch heh

I took the liberty of adding links to shadoes' Celtic podcast list for anyone who would like to check out the website first. You can subscribe there using iTunes or some other podcast player, or you can just listen to most of them right from the website if you don't have a portable MP3 player and don't was to use iTunes.

I seriously doubt you ever will, not even worship music. Because, as you know, worship is copyrighted now and you're not allowed to even print out the words without paying up, much less create a podcast, unless you pay the exhorbitant.... uh, I mean..... fair um, royalties and fees.

Great choice! Marc Gunn rocks! :sunny2:

Concerning Heather Dale's "Mordred's Lullaby" on Podcast #44, does anyone else here think Heather Dale and Grace Slick were separated at birth? I can picture Ms. Dale singing "White Rabbit". :-k

I've been listening off and on for a while today, and so far the highlight of this podcast is Emerald Rose doing "Danny in the Jar".

That should become one of their great hits, along with "Goth Baby", "My P.B.J.", and, of course, "Chicken Raid".

It's like a radio broadcast, only it's an mp3 that you can download and put on your mp3 player. Apple's itunes snapped up the concept early on, as something for people to put on their ipods, hence the term "podcast."

It isn't a podcast, but check out Live365. All sorts of genres.
