I ask because it doesn't seem to be what its original purpose was.
I got a message from Dana who pays for the domain along with some web sites of her own.
I don't think it fair she pay the bill. I can't do much because my whistle making has dwindled to almost zero and interest in the PWA community seems to have, too.
Dana has paid for another term, but we need to consider whether PWA is really viable and how to compensate Dana. And also Steve Mugglins who hosts the home page.
I am just not sure what to do.
Mack

Mack, PWA has been fairly much abandoned for the most part, although Les, Ken & Mark have stopped in recently. As the board owner Dana has the right to pull the plug anytime. Not knowing how much the board costs, I can't give an open offer to take over, but donating to help with the cost should be possible.

If the board goes down, so does Mark's Whistle & Squeak and your whistle spot. While Mark doesn't seem to add to his website it still is a nice resource for beginning whistlers. What happens with those?

Actual dollars figures would help in any consideration of prolonging the life of PWA. jrc should have a major vote because he has hung in as the sole admin.

(In other words, I dunno! ](*,) )

I haven't done any new whistle arrangements in years - just got busy with other things, which is why the content has been archived over here at PWA.

David, at 8notes.com, has been re-doing and re-publishing some of the whistle tunes, with my permission.

I am now maintaining a business website, and could consider migrating Whistle and Squeak back into my own domain, though I'd need a bit of help with porting everything over.

Can we get any stats on how much traffic we get on the Whistle and Squeak pages? That might indicate whether or not it is worth keeping around.

Mark

I hope you can get an answer about the traffic stats, Mark. The only answer I got on cost of the board was ... crickets ...
