... make our Russian spammers feel more welcome - (Not!)

Wayfaring Stranger as sung by Chris Rupp & Simon Khorolskiy, with some of it in Russian. Sounds great, beautiful scenery.

Yes!
Thanks Judy. Good find. Are you on high speed internet yet?

Not on high speed internet yet, Mack. I did listen to Connie's advice on a wifi hot spot that works on a cell phone signal. The unfortunate thing is that the closest cell phone tower is 6 miles away. With a signal booster and antenna it does work better than the dial-up here (very old, very bad phone lines!) but still is weather dependent. Cable doesn't come this far into the countryside so satellite is the only other (but expensive) option.

Southern Ohio has always been a forgotten spot for our politicians. The lovely current governor flat out said (in a meeting a friend of mine was attending) he didn't "need" southern Ohio and didn't care what they needed. The cities would elect him. :x The words I have for that gentleman are not ... friendly.

And He never will, Connie. I live where we have a deep appreciation of the beauty in God's world. A few minor inconveniences are a more than fair trade-off for country living. No need to visit a park to see trees & wildflowers or to hear spring peepers or birds singing -- it is all in the yard around the house or in the field across the road. I feel sorry for those confined to the city.

I live in a part of my state that the politicians have conveniently forgotten. In fact, I'd you want to learn more about mine, google "Forgottonia." I live about ten miles from the dead center of Forgottonia. Our internet is a bit faster because of some highly enterprising locals, but we pay for it.

I have come to believe God has not forgotten us either.

Forgottonia -- love it! Wish our area had been so creative in naming the 'lost lands'. If anyone mentions southern Ohio it means you HAVE to live in either Cincinnati or Marietta. There are no other cities ... and the rural area is only a waste area, doncha know. 8)

Given what I've read about Illinois politicians, being forgotten by them might be in your favor. ;)

That is one of my favorite songs. This video is great. I love the Russian. My daughter lives in Bloomington - Normal. She does have high speed wi fi and it is free. She is an area director for Comcast. She is not that far from Connie but it is a world away
