Hello whistle makers,

We invite you to let us know all about your whistles here -- whether or not you have time to visit this forum regularly. (You may want to "subscribe" to your thread though, since members may have questions for you. Subscribing will notify you by email of new posts in your thread.)

Post a link to your web site, give pricing information, describe the process of making a whistle, tell us how you became interested in whistles, post photos or sound clips, make new friends here, get feedback on a particular whistle... anything you'd like.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As an anti-spam measure for the entire board, posts from newly-registered accounts are held for moderator approval. Once a new member makes a few posts and we see they're not a spammer, open posting privileges are enabled. So your first post will be held for approval but after that, you're in!

All whistle makers are welcome regardless of nationality, race, religion, political views, musical style, favorite chocolate, etc. Let's talk whistles!

Site Admin Team

[PWA members please note that discussion of different whistles is still welcome in the Whistle Shop Talk forum; please keep this area for whistle makers themselves, and for us to ask specific questions or engage in other conversation with them.]

Yes, thanks Kitty!

I haven't had time to make whistles, but in December, I made one out of PVC and delrin that I was quite pleased with and I hope to have time to make more this summer. I also made one out of bamboo recently that was my best so far. But when I make bamboo whistles, the notes aren't quite in tune, so I guess I'll call them "folk" whistles. :P

Hi Kitty,
Thanks for adding this feature! Daniel called me last evening to remind me. He and I began our whistle "businesses" in '98. Twenty years of experience twixt us.

Daniel won't ask, but I will. If you know of anyone who might want to volunteer some web experience with him it would be a great blessing I know! My web skills are sadly lacking and it has been a great help to have Peter doing mine. It frees up valuable time for making whistles.

Thanks Kitty,
I don't often get a chance to post, but I do spend a bit of time reading posts. Thanks for setting this up - it is good to see who is out there...

I am in the throws of trying to set up a different web site, but it is taking a lot longer than I anticipated. I am enjoying the learning though - not enough time in a day!!

What?!?! There's nothing 'bizarre' about my whistles!
And you might wanna change the batteries in your spell-checker.

Thanks Mack,
I went and installed "phpWebsite", a CMS program from Appalachian State University that generates my pages for me. It has been a real time saver, it requires MySQL and php.
