I've added an original worship song on Ezfolk - thanks Jim!

There should be a link in my signature area.

Blessings

Thanks Kathy -

Yes, my wife and I sang and I played keys and saxophone.

I'm not sure it fits with EZFolk format, but ...

Wow - I was posting to Kathy and there's someone else!

thanks Jim, both for the support and the site idea! :D I had never heard of EZFolk and myspace kind of scares me. I also can't tell my daughter to not to put a site there and do it myself.

blessings brother

I hear much talent going on in those songs. Praise God for musicians...

I myself have been playing guitar for 21 years. I also play bass, drums, dulcimer, a little piano, and now a whistle!!:)

Keep up the good work Mr Jim

I bought a Clarke original D whistle and have made two high d's and one low d from cpvc. I am loving this whistle stuff.

Me too ... about the Clarke that is. I really like mine. I have a Syn D that sounds good, but I don't think it speaks quite as clearly as the Clarke. It just doesn't seem to enunciate each note. And like someone else said, it's got that cool 'chirp' when you hit it just right.

I have no patience with anything mechanical. I certainly wouldn't be able to make a whistle. If I fix a toilet or something, it's a big deal. I'm more of a hammer or axe guy. No detail work for me. I can just swing something heavy.

I am actually in the process of tweaking my low d . After I get this one the way I want it, I am going to make two copper whistles. One high d and one low d.

I am trying to get my low d holes not so far apart. I am thinking I am going to have to go with some bigger cpvc. It is fun to figure out how to make them. Playing them is a challenge for I am still learning how to read music. It is fun to try new things though.

Gregory, if you ever get to the stage where you'd like some feedback from other whistlers on your creations, we have what we call the "whistle tour."

You ask who would like to be on the tour and then set up a mailing list. Send the whistle to the first person, they play it for a week or so, they send it to the next person on the tour, and so on.

Then everyone gives you their thoughts on how it plays, sounds, feels, etc.

You might not be interested in that, but I thought I'd let you know.

Kitty
