Post subject:  Days of Elijah

Has anyone transcribed (or know where a transcription can be found) of the whistle parts in "Days of Elijah?"

I've just started transcribing it (just found out we're doing it next Sunday!), but I thought it might save me a little time if someone else has done even some of it.

Also, what key have any of you played it in? On the Robin Mark CD, it's in Bb I believe, but it looks like we're doing it in A major... eep. I don't have an A whistle (& don't really like the Bb I do have!) I'm even thinking of (if there aren't any G#s to bother with) playing it on Irish flute, if we do actually do this one in A major.

Thanks all for your thoughts & help! :)

Nope! Don't have it written down. I tend to play more by ear BUT if you do find it or transcribe it I'd love to have a copy if i may.

By the way WELCOME to the PWA family! :D

Yes, I usually play more by ear as well, but since we might be doing it in a key that doesn't even work well with whistle, I'll have to write it out transposed just in case! Grr. I might have to play it on silver flute if we don't do the original key (Bb). :( Sadness!

Thank you though! :)
