This is a track I laid out tonight for my vocal group to let them hear what I had in mine. This is one time thru each part. One pass each of guitar and three vocals so the vocals can be a little shakey but for essentially a one take tune I was pleased. and I really like the sound of the new 12 string

I liked listening to this. I've played it through three times now, and I'm still trying to figure out who it is your voice reminds me of -- really nice. I'd heard your voice in the background of the "Amazing Grace" collaboration you put together, but this, of course, is more front and center. I can't say I've ever heard the song before -- is it well-known in some circles, or is it an original by you? I'm curious.

Its a traditional song, often sung by sailors. This particular version is my own vocal version of a more modern version of the tune. Clear as mud now? I came across it while researching songs for my Sea Shanty/Trad songs group.

Maybe a bit like Gordon Lightfoot? Or it could just be that this song reminds me of "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" a little.

I haven't been checking this forum very often. I can see I have been missing a lot. I loved it.

Shadoes that's really cool - there's a lot I'm behind on here. I can post at work, but not listen.

Nicely done. Did you mic the guitar or line-in? Sound really good.

the guitar and the vocals were both recorded thru the same SM 57 mic. The guitar is completely un-effected the vocals have a touch of reverb.
