Here's my Be Thou My Vision recording: Me playing my dulcimer and singing along. I was sorta out of tune, but give me a break, I had a sore throat and lots of mucus. ;)

This was recorded in Linux. The reason I got Linux (two years ago) was to record with... and now (two years later) I finally got around to trying it out. When recording in windows, I get pops and crackles and jumps and all, and if I do a multi-track recording, it really gets bad. But with linux, so far I haven't had the first snap, crackle, or snicker. Even with a multitrack recording, I had absolutely no problems with recording, no pops or nothin crazy like that! Yay!

That sounds very Appalachian-flavored to me. Nice job. I had never heard that minor chord right before the final phrase... I like that.

So will it be 2 years before your next recording session?

Yeah, I've heard all sorts of chords for BTMV. I just worked out what I thought sounded best. Notice I extended that measure to one and a half measures also. :D

 Umm, hopefully I'll record more before I head back to college. Not sure how much i'll be able to record once I get back into study mode. Then doing internships or such when I'm not studying...

Heh, actually I added a beat - turning a 3 beat measure into a 4 beat one. That's odd. But it worked. And my sister likes it. :) Even though she did fall asleep when I played and sang this for her! :D

That can be taken as a compliment, Kristos.

I liked your version very much. Comforting but unpredictable at the same time. Keep up the good work! =D>
