Forgiveness not Time Heals All Wounds

"What's done is done. The die is cast. Try to put it in the past.
There is no dye that's colorfast! Do not cry over milk that's spilt.
Time heals all wounds, so just forget it. This, too, will pass;
Just laugh it off and have some fun, for life's a gas "
--the rationalizer--

"But it's a wound that will not heal. A blushing bloom that will not wilt.
Though long hence done, still I feel sad, rejected, and full of guilt.
I've tried and tried to close the lid on the awful stupid thing I did.
I knew better...I didn't want to talk about it!
But my guilty conscience now wants to shout it."
--the burdened--

"If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
-- the solution: 1 John 1:9--

"Here it is Lord, I confess it; take it Lord I dispossess it.
I didn't lose my peace that day--what I did was throw it away.
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound!
The peace I tossed now is found!"
--the forgiven--

Thanks for sharing this Mack,

I have a neighbor that I might give this to. It could heal some wounds that he doesn't even recognize.

Kathy :)

Beautiful Mack,

Amazing Love, How can it be?
That you my King would die for me.
Amazing Love, I know its true
It's my joy to honor you.
In all I do I honor you.

You just reminded me of this song.

You are my King (Amazing Love)

Mack ...you mind if I duplicate this and give it to my girls out at the facility?

Good idea about the Poetry Forum!
I'll publish there. That's about as published as I'd like to be.

My sister is looking to consolidate all my ramblings into book form, but it will have to be unfinished until I die or lose my facilities.

My poetry is available and can be used wherever and whenever.
My hope is that maybe it'll do some good somewhere sometime.

So I hereby relinquish all my stuff to that end.

Thanks ....I had just about figured that out Micheal ... have to admit I got lost for a mite in the "linguish" or something like that. I only had Bubba in the house to help me with the translation and he didn't know what that meant either! :-k

That song is awesome. One of my favorite songs to do with mom.

(though I like singing the actual hymn much better :P ;) )
