... this village. We don't have a vehicle so it took about 3 1/2 hours to walk up to it.

It is a Muslim village. In the background you can see some mountains where we often go to walk.

A clearer picture of the mountains.

In the next village up the hill some of the houses are quite rustic. There is a school here but it only has four children.

A man ploughing this afternoon. It is hard work!

Us in the forest walking home. We did stop several times to play music.

That is a nice walk ... I could handle the going .. it would be the trip back that I would have trouble with. Looks to be cold .... or wet or both.

Nice pics as usual ... getting so I expect excellent ... don't mess up the image. :D

Me. I used a 10 second timer on the compact. Notice only I have a stick in the foto. Susans staff is a ski stick that turns into a monopod which we stuck in the ground with the camera on the top.

What is the basin behind the man plowing? A reservoir?

So how did it come about that you decided to live in Greece? Or have you all lived there for your whole life?

Quite correct. It is a reservoir or cistern. The countries of the eastern Mediterranean are quite dry and so water has to be collected whenever it rains. This has always been the way and there are remains of cisterns that are more than 2000 years old scattered around the country.

We have been missionaries living and working in the Balkans since 1994. Mainly we work with Muslims.

Adrian... I have friends who have done missions work in China and Egypt, and they cannot speak openly about their Christianity online, in emails, or in snail mail because of the risk of being ejected from those countries. They write things like "please speak to Father about this..." for their prayer requests.

Is there any risk like this for you and Susan?

Kitty
