Brother and sister on the beach

One of the many hot water springs. This one is very very hot so naturally Adrian threw in his water bottle in to heat up some coffee!

On the ferry crossing to the island. Adrian was playing music from the Titanic film here and then played other music for an hour. I went to the other side of the ship and played sensible music on my Dreamflute.

Why do you think we were on deck rather than in the warm lounge? Too many Greek ferries have gone the way of the SS Titanic!

This is new kind of recorder made by Mollenhauer. It has a cylindrical bore and so is louder, more whistle like and has a stronger bottom than baroque recorders. We have four (or five, I've lost count) including an all wood alto which is quite an amazing instrument. Also we have an all wood soprano, an all plastic one and a hybrid half wood half plastic one. Just for the record, the plastic one is almost as good as the wooden ones.

Susan had two on holiday as they are her standard 'take everywhere' instruments. They sound great out of doors compared to some weaker recorders.

You can hear us playing them (not very well) on the PWA Christmas album, if it still exists.
