Beautiful photos!!

We had some friends snap this one of us on the way down to South Carolina.
Image

On the way back, we stopped in Tennessee to visit my mother. We made a trip out to my childhood home to show the kids.

After my parents moved out, the house was used as storage and then abandoned. Trashed. Reminded me a bit of the old movie, "Trip to Bountiful."

Had a professional portrait done for my business recently, by a friend who is an excellent photographer. I usually hate pictures of myself. The highest compliment, is that I actually sorta like this representation of my mug:

In the Prayer forum some of us got off track (typical) talking about drama and such. I mentioned a couple of mime dramas I did long ago, one to the music of "The Prodigal Suite" by Keith Green and another to Carman's "The Champion."

Someone wanted to see video of said events, but that's not possible with copyrights on the songs. Besides, the only one filmed is The Prodigal, which is a big ten minute video. It would be a massive file.

I didn't exclusively play villains, though. Here I'm rearing back to put a hurtin' on Goliath.

When I got too injured to do all this stuff anymore, I was a bit depressed for a couple of years. Mime was a great emotional outlet for me. You could put so much into a part. Ballet was good bread-and-butter, but mime was where it was at.

Well it occurs to me that I have never posted a picture of myself. This was taken in Milford Ohio on my daughter's deck. I am about 20 pounds lighter now.

Remember Ellah everyone? It's her birthday today and she is a little sad as only two people called her today. If you send her greetings here I will read them over the phone to her.

Her employers will not allow her out of the house for the next three weeks so there is no way she can visit an internet cafe and log onto PWA even is she wants to.

She was excited on the phone this morning as she has just learnt to play from memory "Joy is the flag flown high from the castle of my heart". This was one of her favorite choruses when she was a child in the Philipines.

In case you have forgotten her here are some fotos she posted earlier.

Some of you may remember me speaking of my friend Helga. She's the fiddle player LisaD and I play Irish music with now and then. (Someday we will go gigging together.)

Well, she joined the Pikes Peak Philharmonic -- it's an all-volunteer community orchestra but you have to audition. She was so nervous but she got in!

Here is me, Helga, and LisaD afterward.

In mid December we had a visitor from New Zealand. She had never been to this area before, so she wanted to see Alcatraz, the famous island prison in the middle of San Franciso Bay.

here's a pic of the 3 of us taken by a nice tourist (my wife is the one in the blue):
Image

yes, it's true, California has a law, "play a whistle, go to prison," or at least my wife wishes they did. I'm playing a tune I made up called "They can lock me in prison but they can't keep my face from breaking out."

:?:

Why has this thread been "pruned" to only the pictures and not the banter? Have we been censored? :-#

Makes for very 'sterile' reading, IMO. :(

Hello everyone!

I hope you had a good start of 2008. I was very busy and my employer would not let me take a day off for Christmas or New Year as they had guests so I could not write a greeting to you.

I still play my flute in my room during my siesta hour. I thank God for my Bible and my flute. They are my friends.

This picture is of me in the summer.

Hello, Ellah. :)

Happy New Year to you, as well. I'm so glad you have two such good friends.

Your picture is lovely. For some reason the board did not show the photograph in your post, but for now we can make it work by quoting you, so here, everyone, is Ellah's picture. :D

Hello Ellah ... I am glad that you sent us a picture .. and also glad that you view the Bible and whistle as your friends but hope that you will come here often and let us get to know you. Adrian has told us about you but I would like to know more and hope that one day you would look on this site and the people on it as your friends. We are brothers and sisters with Jesus and therefore family.

Come back often ...

Jim

Thought I would post a recent picture. My nephew took me to see Robin Trower for my birthday and this shot was taken after the show.
