Well, I really like Adrian's way of getting your camera close to the water and getting the surface. It's a really neat effect. I wanted to try it at the ocean. I would never have tried this with an expensive camera, but--

So I was standing there in the water holding the camera as low as I could:

Okay, I tried walking in a little deeper:

Then I thought: I could get in closer and control the camera better if I sit down.

Now, that's working! Okay, cool. Here comes a pretty wave.

Trying an angle to the next wave:

One wave too many. Knocked over. :?

If you had been photographing me taking pictures at that moment you would have seen just an arm sticking out of the water with a camera clutched in the hand.

I am with Kitty.... would have paid money to have my camera pointed in your direction on the last shot. However .. having said that ... you did a great job of protecting your camera and getting some really good pictures. Been so long since I have been to a beach that I could almost smell the salt air in your pix. Nice job!

Would have been interesting to see a photo of a camera floating above the water.

Great pictures, Connie! Is that your little one and your hubby centered in the shots?

Yeah, that's them.

Everywhere we went we arrived at high noon, meaning at the beach in particular the sun beat straight down and all my people were dark profiles. At least I can share the pictures and not worry about privacy.

Well, look closely--all the elements of the face are music symbols. I'm just trying to get in the mood for going back to teaching music in a week.
