My youngest turned 13 a few weeks ago and we had a big bash in the back yard.

Here are a couple shots from when the festivities had wound down a bit and there was time to sit around the fire pit. (it turned out to be a much warmer day than expected so we really didn't need the fire, but it's nice to have anyway)

From left to right, Lisa's oldest son, Helga, me and Lisa on one side:

And looking the other way, my oldest daughter, my father-in-law, and husband. In the background are my mother-in-law and some neighbors:

We invited the girls' music teacher from back in elementary school and her husband -- they had a WONDERFUL time. They wanted to know when the next party would be! :)

And of course we must have a shot of the cake and birthday girl. Yum!

Looks like you had a wonderful time. I can almost hear the music. Did you also have a video clip of this part of the day?

Or an audio clip?

And is that a cheap Feadog Lisa is playing? Not that I have anything against Feadogs. I'll bet she can make them sound pretty good.

That's my Tommy-tweaked Feadog she's playing. This event is what convinced me I needed a louder D whistle.

Sadly, no recordings of this part of the day. :(

Family get togethers are so much fun. We will have a small gathering for Thanksgiving but no music. At christmas we will go to Florida and I will spend some time with my grandson that I taught to play the whistle. I am giving him a Walton's C and a Clare D.
