I am afraid
That You will fade
When I don’t dare to come

When I am late
Would You please wait
You know where I am from

I do not know
Where I should go
Would You lead me, God unseen

Before You dry
The tears I cry
Would You meet me in between

Thanks for once again gracing us.

As a woman, I think I understand the last verse. Sometimes you just want Him -- to quote "You Raise Me Up" -- to just "sit a while with me." THEN He can wipe the tears. Is that it?

Beautiful poem.

I understood the last verse in the same way as Connie.

Scarlet, it's a very beautiful poem.
I came home last night by bus, was grabbed from behind by a teenage boy. I hit back, although not powerful at all, but did startle him and there was no harm done.
My friend's family that lived close by came by and picked me up, I spent the next few hours with them, drank tea and calmed down.
As I prayed in a somewhat angry and shocked state, I asked God for comfort. Reading your poem, I felt so deep in the heart about
'meeting me in between'.

thank you dear God, and thank you Scarlet!

Dear Danielle,

i am sorry to hear about your shocking experience. I had some less nice experiences in Greece too... I hope it won't happen to you again. Thank God for being close in times of pain.

Scarlet

I too am sorry to hear that you went through such a thing ... this world has changed not only in Greece but everywhere. I have three daughters and while I worry about them but also know that I have taught them how to incapacitate an attacker. Am thinking that all women/girls should receive this training ...

Again ... very happy that it turned out as it did ...

Jim

I was very sorry to hear that you were attacked. I hope you are feeling okay today. It's so good that your friend's family was able to help you. it seems that God answered your prayer by leading you to the poem.

I'm sorry, Danielle. And proud that you had the presence of mind to hit back.

It doesn't make it any less than a shock, though. I went through something similar some years back.

Take some time to drink tea every day and let God heal you. Thank God nothing happened, as with me, but still let that healing take place. It's important.

Blessings,
-Connie
