Did anyone else see it? It was a night for the song,

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds thy hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed,

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!

I missed when the moon was in full eclipse. When I walked to work there just the right crescent starting to appear. Thanks for the fotos!

Yup I saw it.
Did not stay out long to watch.
Brrrr, it was cold.
Noticed it outside in the parking lot after choir rehearsals.

My husband tells me there will not be another in this area until 2014.

So, I came dashing home and announced, Lunar Eclipse... look look.
No one even raised an eyebrow.
One of my daughter's guy friends called and woke her up stating Lunar Eclipse!
Too bad I did not answer that call, or I would have had someone to share my excitement with!lol

It was a very cool clear night to view it.
Glad someone caught it on the camera.
Laura

I wish it hadn't been so cold. I would have taken more pictures and played more with the settings. I just couldn't stand the cold.

It was overcast here, so I couldn't see it.
I remember looking at one lunar eclipse through my telescope.

What's cool is that I have taped (yes, taped!) a camera to my telescope and took pictures through it. Pictures of the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn at least. Not very high quality, but quite cool nonetheless.

You have my complete sympathy. It's horrid taking pictures when your fingers are numb. :|

We missed it here due to cloud cover as well. hehe I may have told this story before but I am going to tell it again :)

As an adult one of things I find myself doing is alot of the stuff I wanted to do as a child but had no money for and my parents didn't either. One of these things was star gazing. So I bought a Meade ETX90 scope, motorized mount, start finder, etc. The first night I had it out I just started pointing it at bright objects in the sky. Randomly no pattern at all, just hey that is pretty brights lets see what it is. On about the third object I was looking I had a jaw dropping experiece. I had pointed my scope and started to play around getting the object into focus and there it was... in all its glory, into focus popped Saturn and its rings. In my scope the Cassini divide is pretty clearly visible on a good night.. I was completly awestruck...dumbfounded, had someone touched me at that moment I would have fallen over. And what was the first thought that popped into my head? How can someone believe that it all happened by chance?

On a side not I got a great look at the giant red spot on Jupiter a few days later :)
