I need to buy a flash drive in the next couple of days. Saw a 4 Gb San Disk for $50, but seemed to remember someone saying San Disk flash drives weren't always compatible. So ... what are the name brands of your favorite thumb/flash drives?

Do you really need 4gigs? Because I pick up a generic half gig flash drive for $9.95 at the counter of my local office store every now and then. (They tend to get lost around here.)

We have both use Integral and never had a problem with them and have been able to open them on every computer on our travels.

If you travel much and use internet cafes consider loading Firefox portable on your memory stick.

I use PNY. I bought a SanDisk and it had the U3 software on it. I could not get it to work with my computer. I had to return it. I am very fortunate to be near a Microcenter store. I can go there and buy a 2 MB for 8.99 and a 4 MB drive for about 15.99. They also have an online site.
