So here's the real Morrison's jig, done Kitty and Lisa style, with that cool improv at the beginning, and some added instruments for suport:

Here's another one for somebody to identify:

Soldier's Joy:

'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus--Kitty on lead, Pam singing harmony, Josh and Lisa on whistle:

Amhran Boat Song--Kelly's fiddle led, Josh, Lisa and I all played whistle, Randy on mandolin, I think probably that was Kitty on guitar.

I'm putting Kesh jig here for later, when this thread moves to the Music forum.

Fun, I dream of being in a session like that someday.

Hey, that little recording gizmo you have doesn't do too bad a job. It's not like having separate tracks, but for grabbing what's going on, it's pretty cool.

Thanks.

It actually will record 4-track, or 2-tracks in stereo, but that takes twice the SD space.

OH MY Gosh MY Golly OH!

I loved it!
Sounds like fun!

I would love to find a local session.
I really really should just start one.

The Morrison Jig... excellent! I love the guitar Kitty.

K.... I am certain this question has come up before...

Where and How and what program are you using to get the little play back box posted of your recordings. That is cool! Better than following a link.

An excellent idea!

The mp3 button is a custom code we made for our board:
Image

Used just like the image tag, only for mp3 files.

TIP: If you ever see something really cool in a post and you want to know how that person did it, click the quote reply button and take a peek at their code.

Will that button work if you just attach an mp3? I had to host the file on Fileden to get mine to work ... but maybe I'm missing something?

No, it doesn't work on attachments. And unfortunately, it doesn't work on EZFolk links either. But Fileden stuff should work.

Word to the wise! If you're using Fileden you absolutely have to check in every 30 days or they erase all your files. I've just lost everything I had there.

Me too ... and some of them were other folks songs I got from the Praise Exchange to use in the mp3 player. The attachments are still in the original posts, but now the mp3 players won't function I'm sure. RATS!

Love em! Tis So Sweet is one of my favorite hymns.

That reel I don't know the name of... heard it here and there tho. Sounds like it could be Scots or American?

I'm guessing it's early American.
