Ok all you new camera maniacs. How about a photo assignment... the same idea as the Praise Exchange, only with photographs instead of tunes.

The topic this week is "Warmth in Winter." The object is to interpret that idea in any way you like with your camera.

Let the games begin.

Um.....teacher....teacher.......I have a question.

1. How many pictures can we submit?

2. Do they have to be pictures we just took for the Photo Assignment? Like if we just took a photo last week on this very topic, can it count, too?

(Yes, I know, it's two questions, but I've observed students always try to sneak in a second question that way.)

[sigh]... rules .... rules! We've grown so accustomed to so many rules in our lives.

Be free!

YEEEE-hawww!!

Okay...winter warmth: a reading room. Curling up with a good book, a good CD on, a whole shelf full of good books waiting to be chosen.

Looking out my front window on a chilly morning (past my one and only Christmas decoration).

That was meant as anyone who is a maniac about new cameras.... even the ones who don't have new cameras would qualify for that.

This sums up winter warmth for me .... not posed ... Myrna got us when we were sleeping.

Comfortable ... and lazy ... with my family ... doesn't get much better than this.

I have to work on teaching Bubba to relax .. boy is too tense! :D

Kitty, I like your one and only decoration. If you're only going to choose one, candles are the way to go. I like the first photo best, although the second one gives context.

Jim.....AWWWWWW!! Sweet.

Here's another couple I shot tonight out the front door of my in-laws' home. These are completely unprocessed as I am not on my own computer at home.

Not my picture but would fotos of the riots here qualify as 'warmth in winter'?
