I played the dulcimer, Shad played the whistle and harmonica.

Enjoy!

You guys are having way too much fun. I enjoyed that immensely. You need to learn to half-hole on the whistle a lot more. Remember, blue notes are only a semitone away. Great job! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Glad you enjoyed it. Someone should add some screaming guitar to it hahaha

This was essentially a proof of concept. After doing this I expect you could get better results by playing cross key similar to playing cross key on a harmonica. I may try that at some point.

Do you have Tab for that Jim. I love it. I knew that this kind of sound could come from my Dulcimer. I just don't quite no how to get it.

The rhythm part can be done easily in DAd or DAA without a capo. Here's how to do it in DAd:

Code:
|1------------------------|
|1---1-2---2-3---3-2---2-| x 4
|1------------------------|

|4------------------------|
|4---4-5---5-6---6-5---5-| x 2
|4------------------------|

|1------------------------|
|1---1-2---2-3---3-2---2-| x 2
|1------------------------|

|5------------------------|
|5---5-6+--6+7---7-6+--6+|
|5------------------------|

|4------------------------|
|4---4-5---5-6---6-5---5-|
|4------------------------|

|1------------------------|1-----5------------------|
|1---1-2---2-3---3-2---2-|1---1-5---5-5---5-5---5-|
|1------------------------|1-----5------------------|

DAA would be the same way except you would fret both A strings where you would just fret the one in DAd.

The lead part was pretty much made up on-the-spot. It's pretty much impossible to hit a bad note, and the middle string is easy to bend. I just have one high string, and I bent that one a time or two, but it's a bit more difficult.

Hopefully that helps.

If I get my Strat back this weekend, maybe I can oblige you :-' .

Haven't had a chance to listen yet, really. I get to it tonight though - can't wait to hear.

Thanks Jim. I will give it a try. I did play along on whistle.
