So there's a lady on the praise team, that i just found out plays the recorder. I asked if she wanted to do a duet sometime, and she hesitantly said yes. So I'm looking for any sheet music of a hymn duet. Any ideas? Any free stuff floating around?

thanks,

Jorg

Please don't say that I could just figure out the harmonies. I'm not that bright ;)

Well ... a simple answer might be for one to play the soprano part and the other the alto part in any hymn that fits the whistle range. Or alternate the melody between whistle and recorder, while the other player wings it with some fill-in harmony notes ...

Actually ... I haven't a clue. I have some Christmas duets hiding somewhere but not any others. Good luck, Jorg!

Here's another idea ( no one will ask to play your whistle ... ever):

I think Judy's on the right track. Pick a hymn and one of you take the soprano part and the other either take the alto or the tenor line an octave higher.

okay, that sounds hard.

another twist....she can only read bass cleff notes (???) as she plays bass guitar, and tuba.

Maybe a tuba/whistle duet??

If I use a hymnal, I'll probably have to rewrite the notes so it's just the two parts showing
