After a long hiatus, I have taken upon myself to start the tune challenges once again.

I have attached a lead sheet for you readers and an MP3 for you non-readers. Let's see what you can do with it! 8)

Cheers,
Jim

By the way, if you want to use the MP3 in your own version, go right ahead. It's just an MP3 version of the original MIDI file generated by my notation software.

If you want the original MIDI, please PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

Thanks, Ren! This is a beautiful hymn, very well suited to penny whistle.

A good one. I like the finger style but I can't do it yet.

Thanks for reviving this one Ren ! Mine is still a work in progress, but I figured if I threw mine into the mix, maybe some others would follow with their versions ;) . Hint Hint.
As always, constructive criticism, comments, technical advice welcomed! Remember, I'm just a guy in his kitchen as you can probably tell by the sound of the refrigerator running in the background. Gotta work on re-locating this PC.

Nice one Tom. A lot of variety and I like the way you brought in the strings and soprano whistle in after you played the melody on a tenor whistle. I enjoyed it.

I didn't hear the refrigerator. Maybe you could move CLOSER to the refrigerator and utilise the background noise like this...

Nice one, Tom!

Cool tractor-jazz, Adrian!

Now, I need to come up with a "June Chune".

Cheers,
Jim

Those are great arrangements! Ren, soothing, and fantastic chord choices. TC, I love how the rhythms of your guitar set off the whistle. Beautiful.
