Today I had to be out & about -- a run to the bank, quick trip to a pizza joint so no one had to fix supper tonight. A couple of things caught my eye and my funny bone.

While stopped at a red light, a 'Jan-Care" ambulance was in front of me ... with a license plate of "Care 54". You might need to be my age to understand why this caused a chuckle.

About 15 minutes later, I passed a church and read its sign board:

"Don't let your worries kill you
Let the church help"

:-k :D

Okay, I did say I have a quirky mind. I laughed at the sign.

BTW, chicken bacon ranch pizza is really, really good.

Took me a second on the first one. "Where are you?"

I agree on the second. Should someone at the church be informed of the unintended meaning? (Or maybe they've already been.)

Good humor!
Car 54 was 54 years ago same as our anniversary. I didn't watch it for two reasons...three: Joan and I were starting our life together and didn't care; we didn't have a tv; it wasn't broadcast where we were anyway. So yes I did miss the humor at first.
Did see the "humor" about the church's help. Still getting it.

My real help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. They need a new sign!

substitutes for bacon should have another name. Chickon and eggs. Turkon lettuce tomato. Eat more beefcon. veggie tofcon

who's kwerky?

Another strange "name" I saw in the last couple of days is "vegan leather". Really? What in the world is vegan leather? Is it what used to be called pleather?

If anything fits "quirky" vegan leather does. A search goes immediately to artificial leather.

I don't think I'm ready for all the new terminology in our world -- vegan leather, woke, etc.

I don’t support the senseless killing of nauga for sport. [-(

But with the wide market for Naugahyde....

They say Nauga meat is tough, but it tastes like chicken. #-o

Judy, I’m afraid you’re dealing with a whole clan of quirky minds here.

I'm ok with the harvest of farmed nauga as long as they use the WHOLE nauga.

I have heard of many other meats that taste like chicken, but what would they taste like if there were no chicken?

Guess it would have to be rattlesnake, Tommy. That's something I've always heard tastes like chicken. :P

Judy, scrolling down I was about to say “snake” but then I saw you beat me to it. Quirky minds are exponentially more fun when they start thinking alike.
