The King of Love My Shepherd is

Switched computers a couple of weeks ago and found that the laptop still has some music from The Praise Exchange. (Pausing for a moment of remembrance. TPE was fun, educational and is missed.) Thought all the music had been lost in the crash. I didn't mess up this tune too badly (opinions may vary - ;) ) and thought to share it.

The King of Love My Shepherd Is.mp3

I do have a question. I have music by several members past. Can't see a way to download directly to this site but can route through my 4share. The question is ... would it be okay to share someone else's tunes once again on PWA?

(Susi, would this be better posted in the regular forum?)

I love this, Judy! Beautiful and has some attitude with the different dynamics going on.

You need to explain what the Praise Exchange was? I only know it as a page where I could download and listen to tunes other people had submitted. That's where I first found "Si beag si mor". I must take it up again, but this time on the concertina, it's a wonderful tune.

As for your (almost) last question, I wouldn't upload other people's submissions without asking them.

Wish I could hear this. When I click on the link, I'm taken to the correct 4Shared page. When I attempt to access the song, I'm re-routed to a 'Golden Nugget Casino' site, and then also to an application page for Shipt. Not sure what's going on.

Re: The King of Love My Shepherd is

Susi, The Praise Exchange was one of the forums on the last version of PWA. Kitty started it as a place to share our individual interpretations of gospel songs the moderator of the forum would chose. It was to be a place where beginning players could join in and learn from the more accomplished players. The music grew from the simplest versions to some fantastically complicated mixes. JRC, Connie, and Ren-tin-10 aka Jim Edwards had several great mixes, among others. The conversations in TPE were as entertaining as the music.

I never expected that the last version of PWA would totally vanish from the internet when we changed to this version. None of the other versions disappeared and could be visited if information from that forum was needed. I've always heard that once it's on the net it is always on the net. Not so this time. Not even the way back machine can find it. We lost music and conversations from people that can't be replaced like Walden & Fancypiper. Not all of the music was available now but a large portion was, as was all of the conversations. I miss it being available.

Since when do our posts need to be approved by a moderator? This is ... disturbing.

I have no idea Judy. It means I’ll have to switch off the antispam plugin. But it didn’t work very well anyway. I added it to avoid spam in the contact form but it didn’t work anyway.
