Re: PWA simular forum?

if Dana has made you the new owner, is it required to move to PWA to a new host? Can we just pay what's due and stay put? In theory I suppose we could, but Dana's has expressed a pretty low opinion of Site5 and the board software is so old we have to update to some degree anyway, so ... All that sa...

I never intend to diminish anyone's contributions or insult anyone! Hey Mack, never meant to imply you were, only that if we had resigned ourselves to saying goodbye we should do so prior to any further investment of time and $$. Really ... REALLY ... glad to see you guys would like to carry on. I'...

Re: PWA simular forum?

PWA isn't done yet, but if there's no interest in continuing this would be a good time to say so to avoid any unnecessary fees for hosting and avoiding the waste of efforts on the folks who are assisting in the move. Not a scolding, just don't want to take advantage of those who are helping in the e...

Re: PWA winding down

The site hosting is up at the end of December. We have a couple of options, not sure which way will be the best option, if either.

If there is content you want to keep that's available I'd grab it. Good chance that regardless of what happens long term it may not be available long.

Connie, have you been talking to my wife? You are absolutely right. I’ve been playing uke for 18 months and have had a total of 10 ukes during that time. I currently own 6. I’ve even sold a few whistles to fund my acquisitions. Granted the 6 I own, are all vital, of course - just like all my whistl...

Re: I Can't Help Falling In Love

Love the cellist ... the pianist is very good, but my ears disagreed with a couple of her note/chord choices. I thought she was pretty conservative honestly ... couple of passing major 7ths added just a little dissonance. but i like dissonance, so ... The voicings in both the original and...

Open B is not uncommon. Some folks like to use slightly heavier gauge strings when they do, ymmv:

All good here, thanks. Never lost electricity but we got 11.5 inches at the airport, just west of me so I guess that's 'official'. Wet heavy snow, try to avoid shoveling it. Used my leaf blower to mark the drive way and move some off to the side. the sun is taking care of the rest, or will soon enou...

Yes!! That being said, if anyone else wants to upload a version of it, you'll need to contact the copyright holder as well. I'm not sure that's accurate - I believe under the Fair Use Doctrine you can record anything, just can't charge for the recording. Hence all the cover tunes on YouTube and no c...
