Re: need advice on Water Weasel repair

Hi Judd,

You're free to post images now. Please upload your pic here.

By the way, I had a Thin Weasel that cracked right at the tuning joint. Mack Hoover (our board's founder) fixed it for me when I was fortunate enough to drop by for a visit.

Sorry, don't know of anything. Have you tried Googling to see if anyone else has already figured it out?

Apparently you and the fellow who sold it to you weren't talking about the same thing.

Sorry, I don't know anything about flatwound strings, except that I hate how they feel. O:)

Re: Balanced Octaves

I hereby officially volunteer to audition one and write up a review.

Do you make 'em in B? I also need a nice C. And a Bb.

I still have my Thin Weasel in C if you want to try it out while I try out one of yours.

Howdy Steve, welcome to PWA!

I looked around on your site and found out you're also a bit of a theatre geek. :) I daresay you'll also find one or two xaphoon enthusiasts here.

Re: Asking for some sound help

I won't have guitar amps on our platform - everyone runs through the monitors so we can be certain the mix is even Oh Jim, you're just hurting your guitar players with this. Poor guys or girls! Most guitar players consider their amp to be half of their instrument because of the certain tone they ge...

Re: Asking for some sound help

I wonder what his reasons are? I used to play on a Roland set that had those rubber heads, and it hurt my hands every time even though I wore biking gloves. But then the church sprang for a set of V-drums with the mesh heads, and it was like playing on a dream... SO much more comfortable.

Re: Asking for some sound help

Do you think a new one would help even a little? It's possible, but if the mic they're using for you now is a quality model, then a new one might make very little difference. For drummers who only play LOUD, these can help: http://www.mattsmusic4u.com/prodimg/h-rods.jpg http://drums-percussion.musi...

Re: Best Whistle?

Hey, as far as really inexpensive, I've got a Tommy-tweaked Feadog that sounds fairly clean to me (and I played flute all through school so I'm accustomed to a more pure sound rather than lots of chiff). However, it's very soft so you really can't hear yourself when playing in band.

Hi, welcome to the board. Re: In Search of: Whistle Duet Sheet Music

I think Judy's on the right track. Pick a hymn and one of you take the soprano part and the other either take the alto or the tenor line an octave higher.
