Re: Do We Continue

Any that would like to be involved could donate to my PayPal account. That email is danabhigbee@cox.net. (There used to be a dedicated PayPal account for PWA, but the login information is incorrect, and I can no longer access it). I pay $120 yearly for my basic web hosting plan. PWA's domain renewal...

Who was our last person that knew how to update the board? My administrative password no longer works, and I know nothing about how to maintain this message board. I'd be curious whether someone can at least let us in to perform maintenance.

Do We Continue

Hello all: I have been hosting Praise Whistlers on my basic web plan for many years now. Mac recently asked the question whether we want to continue this group, or is our Facebook group good enough? I've seen much less activity on this message board than in previous years. The domain is up for renew...

At the left of the top banner: What would it take to turn the Home page into an actual link?

Aaron, I agree with this. It would also be nice to have the home page at the right header be a link.

Unfortunately, I don't have the programming skills to do much to change this board style.

Re: Land based Gulls

I've noticed seagulls in Oklahoma too. They tend to hang out around the Arkansas river, and lakes. We also are loaded with Canadian geese. It used to be such a special thing to see a flock, but it's becoming pretty common to see them flying, or hanging out near bodies of water.

I guess if you receive it today, we will not hear from you till Tuesday? Of next week? Ha Ha! Gotta post something just to prove you wrong. Yes, the soprano dream flute arrived today, and I just unpacked it. What a great sound! It sounds like a cross between a whistle and a recorde...

Re: Recorder Recommendation

Tommy, I bought my dream flute from Unicorn music, at http://www.buyrecorders.com/. Good prices, and quick response to my questions. My recorder shipped Friday, I hope to get it Monday. [-o<

Be safe and warm! We actually only lost power here yesterday (Friday) for about 4 hours. We're pretty much all electric here, so it would have been awful to lose power for several days! Had some friends staying with us to keep warm and use the utilities. We lost so many trees with this storm, but no...

Amanda, I think this looks like a great thing, thanks for sharing. I do think that there's something special that we as women have to offer each other, and to offer to the Body of Christ.

To all the guys here at PWA: y'all are alright. We love ya.

Yesterday morning, our temperature in Tulsa was near 70. The cold front came through (and brought an ice storm), and this morning it was 20. We're expecting 2 more days of freezing rain and sleet. The roads are really in bad shape. Since we live in a somewhat rural suburb, we're not going anywhere. ...

Do you actually drill the holes? That's not something I'm brave (or coordinated) enough to try, but more power to ya! My thumb C holes are pretty much mid-way between holes 1 and 2, but directly opposite them, i.e. on the back side of the whistle. I suppose you could start with a small hole, and exp...

I admit, I have thumb C holes on all my whistles, whether made of brass, CPVC, or wood. I've never had one dribble. (bleah) I really prefer the tonal quality of the C natural over the cross-fingered one, and it's perfectly in tune. Also, b-c-b and similar fingering transitions are much easier than c...
