Re: The many faces of PWA

Can someone please let me know if my pictures are viewable? I took them off my imac, and am not sure if they can be viewed on a pc. If you can see them, you should be able to click on them to enlarge them.

Thanks, Ron

I tried downloading all of these, but a window opens that says windows can not open this file. Something about a download host. My computer's so old, the keyboard's made out of slate, and the hard drive's mice running on a wheel. Oh well.... I followed the directions to fix it, but it didn't work. T...

I've heard about tuning programs for your computer. Does anyone know anything about them? If so, could someone post some info, or maybe a link to a download site?

Thanks, Ron

musicians do tend to get annoyed easily when tuning there instruments.

my favorite tools of annoyment,(I don't think that's a word) are my harmonicas, or my big mouth. (Though I've been known to annoy people with my whistles also)

Yes, I have noticed the guitar, and cello players tuning to the keyboard.

We have one gentleman, who plays a Gibson hollowbody electric, who tunes to a tuner, and then ends up tuning to the keyboard. :P

Take the bubble gum out of your mouth before you play.  That's a real knee slapper. It could also be condensation. Try disconnecting them from the bathroom plumbing, drilling six holes in them, and attaching a mouthpiece that makes a little whistley sound. (Sorry, I guess I'm just a...

Thanks for your input everybody. We do use a keyboard rather than a piano. I'm not going to worry too much about being in perfect tune. I'm playing for The Lord, and I know he likes it whether I'm in tune or not. Thanks for the tip about tuning to the G, Adrian, I'm going to try that. Also, I keep m...

:P I just leaned my tuner against my Hoover low g, to prop it up, and when the tuner tapped the whistle, it registered a perfect g. I thought this was odd, so I tried it again, and got the same results. Who would have thought that a whistle would have perfect percusion tune.

Actually, my main function on the worship team, is singing. I've been singing all my life, and am a natural tenor. I also have a lot of requests to sing solos. My whistling is pretty much secondary, but have had lots of compliments, from the congregation, as well as the worship team members. I'm oft...

Whistle Tuning Blues

Greetings fellow Praise Whistlers, I recently purchased an electronic tuner, to tune my whistles. WHAT A HEADACHE!!!! When I get the second octive close, the first octive is way off, and vise versa. Sometimes I think I was better off being totally oblivious, to whether I was in tune or not. I...

Hi everybody, That's a c whistle, from 'The Whistle Smith' in Maine. I just got it, and I love it. I got a low d also, and a low g auto flute, that is kind of a cross between a flute, and a whistle. Thanks for the comments, and for all your clips to listen to. I don't get to spend much time on line,...

Thank you all soooo much for your kind words. I tried to figure out a way to put a harmonica harmony in it, but like I said, that's the only harmony I know.

I'm looking forward to recieving my low G, whistle from Mack. I can't wait to use it on one of these songs.

I like it, Ron -- both versions. What whistle are you playing? Sounds great & records well, too. I could hear Joey's whistling (sounds pretty much on key, too!) ... but couldn't pick out Alissa eating raisins. :) In the first one, I used my Hoover CPVC, a. It was my first attempt, and the one with ...

Why do I catch myself singing about Old King Cole, and his whistlers three when I listen to this song? :P (maybe it's because I've been so saturated with childrens songs for so long.) :)
