Re: Wellness Check?

She hasn’t tried remote customer service. Not sure of the fit with her anxiety disorder (unhappy customers all day), but she’s pretty good at gushing what she can handle. Right now she’s in the running for a University library job, which would be a GREAT fit and would allow for some free schooling. ...

Re: Wellness Check?

Oh, the girls are doing well. They’re both staying away from college until college can get its act together on this. One works at a Casey’s full time and the other is laid off from the public library. She’s been laid off since March, so she’s looking around for other jobs.

Re: Wellness Check?

That loss of smell thing has kind of become a red flag, as it’s not been the hallmark of other illnesses—at least as far as I know. Unless you have a stuffy nose and can’t taste or smell. My nose was clear, as is reported by COVID patients. You know, Judy, that November illness—we had that over here...

Re: Wellness Check?

Well, I’m pretty sure I got the virus, but it was a mild case. Not bad enough to seek treatment, so no official testing. On a Tuesday I ran into someone who had had “chills” the day before. No fever, though, and he felt better, so he thought it was safe to run around. Thursday the neighbor had a hug...

Mack’s telescopic whistle

Well, well, well. What have we here!? CutiePie, a whistler with a YouTube channel, featured our own Mack’s telescopic A whistle. What a great-sounding whistle, Mack!

Hi, Kurt! I grew up in the Appalacians—in East Tennessee. I love to worship Him with whistles too. And guitar and mandolin.

Glad you’re here!

I think the extensions we used to show YouTube videos were created years ago for the old software. I’ve been having trouble finding new extensions. Hopefully someone will write one eventually.

That sounds WONDERFUL, Randy! Early morning music, played on a stringed instrument. Actually sounds like something one might read in the psalms!! 8)

Re: I Can't Help Falling In Love

Oh, SEE! Now ya went and made my eyes leak! That’s so beautiful! Especially the end with all the (ahem) TRADITIONAL harmonies! Those are two favorite songs of mine. What a wonderful world always leaves me feeling thankful, so in an odd way it’s become a praise to God song for me. Anyhow, yesterday I...

Sweet video!

Judy, I see what you mean. She wants to drone that one note. It’s kind of done these days, but it does kind of jangle with traditional harmonies.

I Can't Help Falling In Love

Say what you will, it's a pretty tune with lush harmonies. I'm going to put this here, then I'm going to probably spend some time playing along in high tenor on whistle.
