Hip hip hurrah

Post by mack »

Well it is good to be back to the PWA!
And it is good to walk upright again without pain.
It is near the end of the third week with my first new hip joint. Why did it take me so long get this done!

I asked my surgeon the inevitable question: will I be able to dance?
She wisely asked if I could before,
I am going to trust her with the other one!
Then I will learn to dance!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD

Just please avoid Break Dancing!

The Mazurka.
Mom taught it to us five.
The only boy was too shy (stubborn) to learn it. #-o

With the requisite shaking about. I like that part.

Here is the original https://youtu.be/lKlsS7nc-hY
Here is the American version Mom showed us https://youtu.be/wHDFnKSyr9A
Here’s Lawrence Welk’s Rendition https://youtu.be/sZVGka9Cr8o
I probably will pass anyway...or do a very simplified version... solo

 Most of us are showing our age in admitting to know anything about the Hokey Pokey! Mack and the Mazurka goes just a tiny bit further back.

Right entertaining videos, Mack. I remember Lawrence Welk. The Polonaise looks like a dance I could handle - strolling around and bowing once in a while seems easy, but not in heels. "Put Your Little Foot Right Out" is a first time experience. Not sure it ever made it to southern Ohio.
