PM on hold?

Post by Tommy »

I have a PM on hold, and the screen says I have a full folder, and to remove it to make room for the new message. I deleted several old messages and that did not help. Found another place to move folders around but that did not work. so what is next.
Hmmmmm....... Just had a thought.

I deleted everything in the out box, in box, and sent mail. Still it is holding one of my messages.

It will hold your message until it gets read. One of the nice features of the new board. If you put your foot in your mouth, you can actually go back and change it--up until the recipient reads it. Nice, huh?

Connie, I think Tommy may be saying that someone has sent a PM to him that's not actually showing in his in box but "something" is indicating that it's "on hold" because of a lack of space in his in box -- not that he has sent a PM.

Try it now Tommy. Let us know.

It still shows in the upper left corner that there is a message waiting. And I still can not open it. And though everything is now empty, out box, in box, sent box, It still says that folder is full.
Hmmmmm....... Just had a thought.

Have you done anything to anger the Wee Folk recently?

I'm still out of town but perhaps the other admins can explore the problem for you.

Just out of curiosity have you logged out of the board then back in? If not please try that and see what happens.

Tommy, after you've made room, you need to "release" the unread PM. Close to the top you'll find instructions that tell you to do that, and where it says "release," that's a link. When you click on the words, your message will appear in your inbox.

Hmmmm..... Well Connie I found the release, clicked on it, and it worked. I was able to read the PM, and the frustrating little PM on hold words are gone now from the left corner of my screen.

THANK YOU \:D/
