Tommy,
Good to 'see' you here. Most everything is going well here.

Susanne,
I can relate at least a little to what you're going through with your roof. We bought our house on land contract a little over 40 years ago. The first good rain we had after moving in, there was a waterfall in the back porch, so we had to replace the back roof as rapidly as we were able. We also did not have the money to pay someone to do the work, so we completed it ourselves with help from friends and relatives. Not something I could (or would want to) do today.

Glad that you're keeping some sense of humor about it.

Actually, Jim, I've been thinking afterward that if we hadn't done this costly work, perhaps a storm had brought down the roof and we would stand there in the middle of a storm with a broken roof and nobody to help. So now after it's done, it feels good to have it done.
